| While
exploring beautiful and remote Tennessee we discovered
a Mennonite family making maple syrup. We were
so inspired by what a pure and great tasting product
it was that we began producing our very own as well. We gather and reduce
the sap over a wood fire, no modern technology here.
We finish it down to just the right thickness,
gently filter and bottle it.
Our
maple syrup is an unusual product
for Tennessee, as our state is in the
most southern end of the sugar maple's natural
range. Our shorter winters create a smaller season
for tapping the maples, which does not harm the trees.
This short season means less yields than our Northern
neighbors, but the flavor is
unmatched and well worth the
effort!
And
if you've ever bought our honey you know we don't put
the Taylor name on unless it is the Finest from nature. That's
our promise and our pledge.
Blessings,
Matt
